DISTANCE
This album is a collection of compositions, texts, and improvisations all relating to one core theme: Distance. Migration, the passage of time, physical proximity and distance, longing, dissociation, the Covid pandemic, creative and emotional ‘cocooning’, rest, departure, return, space, and the precariousness of feminist achievements in a patriarchal world. The collaborative pieces were developed after in-depth conversations on both shared and personal interpretations of ‘distance’.
